HOUSE G3

Family home G3 is located south of Zagreb, in the suburbs of Velika Gorica, directly by the Sava river. The lot is accessed from the south side and its shape is relatively narrow and long. A view of peak Sljeme and specific demands of the investor were key elements that conditioned its design, volume orientation, and interior.

Visually and functionally it's split up into a residential and service volume. The former is defined by a clear divide in the floor plan; the ground floor living area and the bedrooms upstairs are facing west, while the office, communication area, toilet and bathrooms are east-facing. The ground floor service volume on the east side contains the entrance, windbreak, boiler room and garage. The west side is made up of a covered porch that connects the living and dining space directly to the exterior through a large sliding wall.
