DECODE OFFICE
The functionality of the space was not adequate so all existing partition walls were torn down. To make use of every square meter, the entrance space was turned into a lounge room. The auxiliary kitchen was fitted onto a wall with as many as five distribution and control boxes, which helped conceal the aesthetically displeasing door. Birch tree trunks were sawed on-site to ensure they would all be installed from floor to ceiling or beam. Glass was put in the drywall and the finishing touches were executed with precision so the glass beams wouldn't show.
Puzzle-shaped vinyl tiles were assembled on the kitchen floor and wall. They were fastened with velcro tape for easy disassembling, in case one needs to access the raised floor. A ceiling shelf was mounted above the main table, a collaborative effort of the electrician, locksmith, house painter and ceiling fixer. The drop ceiling is painted, as is the girder, and some spots contain OSB instead of filling.
